The *Original* Smokehouse Pit BBQ is back! Longtime friends Norman Azar and Paul Dalrymple brought back what the River Region has truly missed: frankly, the *best* BBQ around. Originally opened in 1990 by Don McLeod, Smokehouse has stood for excellence in BBQ. Don’s daughter, Laura, continued its award-winning tradition for many years. Norman and Paul were granted the *original Smokehouse master recipes* to ensure the quality and freshness that delighted so many over the years.
This year, we celebrate 30 years of Smokehouse excellence! We take pride in that. Many plans to celebrate this milestone anniversary!
What makes Smokehouse special? Five closed brick pits. Six house made regional BBQ sauces. High quality, hand-pulled meats to retain exceptional flavor and moisture. Freshly-cut hickory wood that circulates the succulent pork, chicken, turkey and ribs smoke within the brick pits for up to 12 hours. Translation? Well, the most flavorful BBQ around.
Southern staples like our *Famous BBQ Baked Beans*, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Macaroni & Cheese, Crinkle-Cut and Sweet Potato Fries, Collard Greens, Fried Okra, House Made Potato Chips, Corn on the Cob and Beer Battered Onion Rings. Fresh Fried Cajun Pork Skins are an unexpected delight. Our ‘Q Stew made with our smoked pulled pork is always in demand. Smokehouse Wings are both smoked and flash-fried. Available in *11* sauces: medium, hot, nuclear, lemon pepper and honey BBQ ... plus, our six house made BBQ sauces. And now, a full bar with 8 Draft Beer Taps and Bottled Beer @ 30 degrees and plenty of liquor options to suit your fancy. Made fresh daily are two mouthwatering desserts: Banana Pudding, Key Lime Pudding and made-from-scratch Blue Ribbon Pies. No matter what you choose from our menu ... You Know You Want Some!
